Telecom operators have had geolocation technology built into the 3GPP standards for decades. Although it has been constantly improving, the technology was never designed for scalability. NEPs and third party vendors have struggled to create non-invasive alternatives by curating control-plane data using prametric techniques like fingerprinting, but none have been able to reach the accuracy needed to replace Drive Tests nor the scalability to monitor millions of users in real-time.
LakeTide took an alternative approach. By training deep neural networks to understand radio filtering, it became possible to position equipment on the 2D plane without interfering with ordinary telecom operations. The AI powered positioning system outperforms heuristic and theoretical models by an astounding margin!
Once equipment in the network is geolocated, ATLAS Flow™ understands how those positions relate to a country’s infrastructure (like its road-network) and the information is exposed in a highly curated form compatible with popular 3rd party analysis tools such as ESRI’s ArcGIS Server.
